G-Series Guide Signs

Guide Signs inform and advise road users of direction and distance from destinations.  They also provide useful information on geographical and historical places of interest and give directions to specific locations such as rest areas, camping sites or parking areas.

Guide signs are generally rectangular, with the long axis, where practicable, horizontal.  Exceptions to this stipulation are route markers and kilometre plates which are normally of a shield like shape.
